WBA Industry Awards recognize excellence and support Wi-Fi best practice

Singapore, 29 June 2017 – Today the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) announces that its 2017 Industry Awards are now open for entries. In its sixth year, the WBA awards aim to recognize and encourage best practice within the unlicensed wireless ecosystem, and are open to both operators and technology vendors.

To encourage and promote innovation within the world of Wi-Fi, this year’s categories cover operator and network deployments, smart cities, as well as rural and remote wireless deployments. Following the success of the WBA Wireless Leadership Award, a category launched at last year’s awards, the WBA will again recognize contributions made by a person, team or organization that have significantly influenced and impacted the development of the unlicensed wireless ecosystem.

  • Best Connected City Deployment
  • Best Wireless Deployment in Rural or Remote areas
  • Best Wireless Innovation and Excellence in Social Impact
  • WBA Wireless Leadership Award
  • Distinguished Member Award (Non-Operator) Open only to WBA members
  • Distinguished Member Award (Operator) Open only to WBA member

The 2017 Industry Awards will be judged by a panel of independent experts, analysts and journalists, including:

The winners of the WBA 2017 Industry Awards will be announced at Wireless Global Congress in New York on 15th November 2017.
