Mr. Luis-Alfonso Serrano is vice president of network strategy for Boingo Wireless, the global market leader in Wi-Fi. He leads the effort to expand Boingo’s relationships with Wi-Fi hotspot operators worldwide to build up the Boingo Roaming System and expand Boingo’s owned and operated footprint internationally. Mr. Luis-Alfonso Serrano is also responsible for wholesaling Boingo’s aggregated network to third-party telecom operators.

Prior to Boingo, Mr. Luis-Alfonso Serrano held a range of management consulting positions specializing in the telecommunications industry at international firms such as McKinsey & Company and J.P. Morgan Chase; he began his career as an analyst consultant for the Spanish Telecom Regulatory Commission.

Mr. Luis-Alfonso Serrano holds an M.S. in telecommunications engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Spain, and an M.B.A. from The Anderson School at UCLA. A native of Madrid, Spain, he is fluent in several languages. He currently works from Boingo’s Los Angeles-based headquarters, although he spends a good portion of his time meeting with partners across the world.
